I'm with Chris on this one: I adhered to the break-in suggested in the manual for the first 1500 km, but ran it over 6k rpm now and again. On the advice of my long-time Ducati mechanic, however, I made it a point not to maintain steady speed/rpm and tried to vary it up/down - within current road and traffic conditions, of course!
