Just got this in...

Dropped my bike off today for the exhaust install tomorrow along with the belly pan, Progrip grips, and a lever guard. Also doing the first service. Warm starts still resulting in stalling and I want to see if its resolvable by the full akrapovic upmap's richer mapping.

But my dealer gave me this Hypermotard SP as a loaner for a couple days... Anyone ridden one of these? Fun as hell but so tall I feel like I'm going to split my nutsack open everytime I'm at a red light. And I'm 6'1...

I sat on one at a dealer sales floor n was shocked by how tall it was and terrified that I may tip it over. Needless to say, I got off the thing quick. I'm 6'0.

Cool lookin bike for sure but damn it's tall.

Agreed. I'm on my tippy toes at red lights. And I was riding next to an F150 and our heads were at the same height. This is the SUV of bikes for sure.

I had the 2008 Hyper 1100S and loved every day of it. I am 6'2'' with long ass legs and arms though.

So the exhaust and belly pan is on... But no upmap. Due to the removal of the servo motor etc, if we start it now it'll throw codes. So now it's a paperweight sitting there waiting for the upmap code. Apparently it's not a USB anymore and needs a code through DDS. My dealer is still waiting for the software. They didn't know this and wasn't told by ducati.

Once you get it running, you'll have to let us know if the pipe is worth it. I'm loving my stock bike right now and am contemplating getting the Akro exhaust.

Also I bought the full Akrapovic system and I didn't get the USB port with the new tune, can you please confirm the dealer needs to contact Ducati to send them the software?

Yes it's not a USB anymore. Dealer needs to contact corporate to set up the tune and email it over. Dealer needs to submit your bike info like owner's name, VIN, year, model, etc etc. The tune will be locked to your specific bike unless you choose to remove the system and sell it.

As a vertically challenged rider, I can absolutely relate to this, among a few other bikes I've tried hopping on.

Had to get adept at shorty techniques.
