My American friends….. good points and bad points from those in the know…
Weather temperature and noise enforcement??

I went to see the MOTOGP race there in 2011, which was in mid July if I remember correctly.

It was cold and to put things into prospective; I am from Toronto.

I would expect that November wouldn’t be great weather.

I have been there in april to july. The weather is off the wall in comparison to what the weather report is. With the coastal climate being so close and the track itself sitting in a bowl I have been there with mornings where the fog is so heavy you cant see the 1st corner from the straight then it warms up in a couple hours its 90* and clear as could be and other times it just stays cold. For the noise they have a decibel reader and you roll off the throttle as you go by it although if your bike is loud it wont pass anyway. Love the track though.

November is the last month before the rain. Check sound levels per event. Some are 92db and some are 105db. 105db is no problem even with akra exhaust.
92db you need stock exhaust. Track is being repaved right now completely. Will be great this year. Has been hot before in October but not November. Usually no fod this time of the year. You'll enjoy it.

There’s a event group no limits in the Uk they are going in November it’s been delayed a couple of years because of covid finally it’s happening this year
A few guys I know are doing it. Good info ta!

Jolly R. speaks truth. Just to reinforce with details.
Northern California, heretofore known as “NorCal“ (So Cal is Southern Cal. which is a different country) is a place of micro climates. Monterey, where the track is, has weather dominated by the Pacific Ocean. It’s very typically foggy at 4PM everyday including weekends in the Summer. The marine fog has a name, it’s Carl. Sept Carl goes on vacation until June.
The Autumn has both the hottest and best weather - November is cooling down fast though. If you want to go to the beach go a little north up the road past Santa Cruz. Beaches are bliss. Really top world class natural beaches. There are no private beaches in America. That’s against the law to block access to or own a beach. Ask me details if you want a map if that’s an interest. The water is 1cm cold. As in shrink. As in fking cold. If you happen to be English it’s normal temperature Just above ice. You can rent wetsuits and surf if you want. Some of the most famous spots in the world are near there. But I digress we’re at the track.

No sound limits would rock. Usually they are ....... about sound at a truly ...... level. You run loud they kick you out. Some have risked it closing gas going by sound checks up the back straight and - forgot where the other is. That seems like a pain in the ass. I’ve always just slipped on the stock slip ons.

Autumn is also awesome as hotel prices plummet from shocking Summer prices. Shocking because they’re high prices for .... hotels. When prices are at Summer peak everything is the same price .... or pretty nice. Same as food. .... tacos cost the same as a sit down meal. You might as well stay at a nice place and eat well.

The track is one of my favorite places in the world. It’s both gorgeous and a stunning fun exhilarating track. I believe it’s highly inspired by the Mugello design though overall it’s more flowing and easy. The Corkscrew you need technical details with turn in markers for real. It’s a blind drop-in that’ll take your breath away. Fking fun level 10. Rainey curve following the Corkscrew you can really get on the gas a great deal more than you imagine but go at your own pace.
It’s a state owned park with not a lot of frills Because of the politics with a few neighbors who built houses next to it then complain about noise and traffic because clearly they are retarded.
I can go on and on, I love remember that place.

You'll prolly be organized and follow someone into the track. But if you happen to be coming from an airport from the east side and you just follow blindly Google or whatever, there are 2 entrances.
ONLY GO TO THE SOUTH WEST entrance. The MAIN entrance. The other is either closed or if you get in, you have a :25min goat trail to drive down. The other is a few hundred yards to the paddocks.
Other things to see ping me. Big Sur for example. Tiny town. Really spectacular drive south on the coast. Hiway 1, the "PCH" Pacific Coast Highway, is one of the most spectacular pieces of tarmac engineering in all of the world. It runs past the Laguna Seca racetrack going from Mexico to Canada. This part of Hwy 1 is some seriously brilliant ..... There are no speed cameras, though the popo drive up and down it and have radar in their vehicles. They love writing speeding tickets more than anything. A good story might get you out of a ticket. Use charm to it's extreme value.
Otherwise, it's a racetrack that's hundreds of miles. It's got a rhythm that's a dance, positive cambered turns and much of it very predictable bilateral design. North of San Francisco there are diminishing turns that'll catch you out if you're blowing off steam. South of the race track it's just a slice of heaven. It is massively recommended to take a trip down it. Stop and see whales kicking around the small bays and every kind of sea creature.
Reasons to crash: Deer, jaw dropping views, idiot tourists drifting into your lane. Skip all that, keep your eyes peeled. The tourists are unimaginable stupid. I can't exaggerate this enough. They are from everywhere, it's thick with them, and many started driving within the year and rented a car in Cali. Don't rely on civility on the road. Rely on stupidity and tourists doing selfies. That will save your life.

Oh, great lattes in Carmel by the Sea. Sorry..Seriously visit Carmel 15 min from the track on the ocean. Check Youtube for Monterey Car week when they have the
Historics. Crazy cars.
