You ....... ........ He spends time writing it all up and you go and shaft him.

What a prick.

I thought I would be subtle with my response but cheers its what I was thinking at the time of writing my response.

That looks very professional. Thanks for the instructions. I only wish I had that kind of patience, but I would pay soeone to do it.

I am a dick, but at least I am an intelligent dick. I'm here to maintain an acceptable level of education that so many forum goers seem to be lacking nowadays. This isn't text messaging. You have a full ....... keyboard in front of you, there is no excuse for typing like a preteen would text their little friends.

Also the first comment was merely an observation, not an insult. See where I said 'not to be a dick'? If I actually wanted to insult him I would have told him to go back to his 10th grade English class.

No one is hurting my feelings. I get a kick out of how butt-hurt everyone gets when they are criticized on an internet forum. It's cheap laughs and I lol a lot.

For the extremely butt-hurt individuals out there because he delete his post for whatever reason, I will post it again for you. He asked me to delete my post, but I don't valid reason to do so.

I should of taken some pics or a video while i was doing it but..

Heres kinda what i did. If your mechanically inclined it all kinda comes together while your doing it; but what I learned along the way might trigger better ideas for you guys.

1. Removed fairings and remove headlight lense.

2. Took a skiny flat-head screw driver with the tip slightly bent to get into the back + blow dryer to edges of lens and plastic to remove black sealant from factory.
(took a while but the more you work at it the more it comes free. One last pull and it popped off.) *theres two clips on either side that gotta be popped out*
(try not to damage plastic on bottom because its exposed but top is hidden) If damaged just melt the plastic back to original form)

3. Once the lense was poped off i took a small circle wire brush on a low speed drill to remove the black sealant completely than blew compressed air to clean it for a better seal when i re-seal it.

4. Took LED strip lighting in a roll i bought off ebay a year back (warm white was the color i picked) Bright white wouldnt be bad either. You can cut & solder on your wires every 3 LED's.

5. Cut two peices off the roll each 12 LED's. Sautered on wires to positive and negative.
Than put clear silicone over the soldered area to seal it. Than wrapped it in electrical tape.
Also I cut the original plugs off the mirrors and wired to my new LED's to have factory signal plugs if i have to remove headlight in the future.

*since the lights are within the headlight they will be weather proof Although the strip lighting i used is outdoor with a silicone clear gel over the LED's.*

6. Than placed the LED lighting in the headlight lens where the black slot is located.
*not all 12 LED's fit into exposed slot i just folded 3 back*
Reason for 12 LED's is to match the resistive load of original signals.*
Placed silicone around the edges of the strip lighting to seal it into it. (pretty much glueing it in place, I was going to use a clear glue but didnt want it to run down onto the clear lens)

7. Than i took a flat head screwdriver heated it up and touched the edge to place wires and melted a small slit into the edge of where lense meets headlight. So that i can run the wires through. 1 slit on each side at the top of the both parts to match where wires will go through.
You can drill a hole in the black plastic to feed through than silicone it after i just figured this was a good too.

8. Than i put clear silicone sealant within the groove where lens seals to headlight and lined wires up to slit than compressed it while silicone dryed. Once that dryed i applied another thin layer for silicone to confirm its sealant.

*anything you do on the top of the headlight will be hidden (where i put wires) but quality on the bottom is exposed (by air ducts). So i ran tape along the lens at the bottom before i applied silicone to aquire a perfect line of clear silicone.*

Taking apart a headlight is not rocket science people. Think a little bit before you do it and you'll be fine. I was thinking of this option long ago when I took off my mirrors, way before this guy showed up. I just couldn't see taking apart my bike for an extended period of time to do it properly while summer is coming to an end. Much rather do it when it's -40C outside and I can take the time to do it properly.

Says the person with a text message name?????????

What are your qualifications to show you are an intelligent dick compared to just a plain old dick?

I am a Forensic Psychiatric Nurse which requires a Nursing Degree and University post Graduate papers to be completed, I have people that have committed exceptionally serious crimes while seriously mentally unwell, they are dangerous, attempt to be intimidating, attempt stand over tactics, throw .... or ..... (if frame the British Isles). So what ever you say to me in a forum really doesn't even touch the surface, a bit like water on a ducks back, you stating you get kicks out of being derogatory towards others show the pitiful person you really are.

I ride a Ducati 1199 Panigale, like most of the other people on this site, attempting to share information with or without spelling and grammar in a perfect delivery. One question: do you actually own one or are you here to give yourself a sense of self worth?

Just like to thank the ........ for ruining yet another tread with their 'intelligence' reviews and otherwise useless trolling.

OP, can you repost the video you took? I wanted to get another look at what you did.

I suggest posting the video on the thread you found regarding the same topic. Not to be a nag, its just hard for people to go through 4 to 5 different threads talking about the same thing.

Mods can you combine this with the 2 or 3 others like this.

Sorry, I was trying to stay out of an argumentative thread by starting the different one. My apologies.

good call!

right now i think the argument is over, so i merged. your video is a great addition to the mod, so i guess it's right to put it where it's related.
