Could someone tell me the overall length of the panigale 1199 swinging arm please, that being measures from one end, to the oppposide end please?

Also, if possible the overall distance from the center of the pivot bolt end closest to the engine to the centre of the wheel.

I hope someone can help

safe riding to all.........

Errrr, they call it a swing arm!!! Recently the CEO of American Airlines had a business meeting with his international team... Comment was "were gonna be the most successful brand in the American speaking world" yep!!! International company American speaking world! I just smiled and shook my head... Bless him... ;-)

Only Americans speak American... The rest of us speak English... Even in Australia where we've perfected the art of putting the word (....) in to every sentence... It's still some kind of English...

Answer to ur question requires more info, which bike, S base or R ?? I believe they are all the same but will consult the spec and get back to you...

No offence my American friends, don't want to be flogged when we come over for Daytona...

Bowdy...

I shall reframe and from now on call it a 'swing arm' lol.

Im not sure if it's a 's' or 'r' SWING ARM - im buying it from a chap in the mighty USA.

If you could let me know either way would be much appreciated

Thanks
Chris

Swinging arm? Never know it called that over this side of the pond.

I was informed that the S and R swing arms are the same, and they both measure 21 inches from center of pivot bolts to wheel center line of the rear wheel.

Could someone confirm for me?

Thanks

Inches? Sorry... Don't compute!! Just kidding, anyone under the age of 30 in Australia can't remember imperial measurements...

Yes I can confirm... The only difference is the R has an adjustable mount for pivot adjustment...

What are u fitting it to? Just out of interest

It is our strict adherence to perfect measuring accuracy that keeps us on the imperial system since it is so much easier to remember and more accurate than the metric system. Just ask a Liberian about a measurement and note the deathly seriousness with which he/she approaches the question...

For a short while, back in the late 70's early 80's, we were trying to go metric. Cars had both on the speedo, and our speedlimit signs had KMH under the MHP - lol

With stock gearing 15/39 and 104 links it is about 534mm from pivot center to axle center. With 15/41 and 106 links it is about 540mm.
