After the excellent guidance on the grips I wanted to ask about levers.
I used to use ASV shorty but I am now looking around for alternatives.

Any guidance please…

Toro and out :)

TWM levers, they were the same as the Ducati Performance ones before they teamed up with rizoma.

Evotech. My only gripe would be they don't adjust out as far as the OEM levers, but not really by a significant degree. They are MUCH easier to adjust and fold, which is the big reason I wanted them. Mt brake stays all the way out, my clutch two clicks in so when I'm stopped and the lever is against my other two fingers, as soon as I let it out I'm in the friction zone.

The price on some of the levers on the market goes from insane to redhead ex on the rag crazy.

CRG I've got these on my 848 & LOVE them. They are slightly more squared off than the Brembos and have a feel that I gell with perfectly. Also they flip outward instead of upward on a spring which I greatly prefer. Anything that doesn't spring back on a hinge I would consider extremely dangerous.
Story: A friend of mine was racing at Sonoma Raceway bumped a guy his Brembo brake lever hinged up and stuck. Got to turn 9 going 125MPH, reached for brake - NO LEVER - jumped off the back - Panigale R went into the tires and obliterated - he skittered across the chicane - just a little sore. Came in second that year, next year he won California Champ Open V2 with brake lever protectors. Something to consider.

I'm waiting months for this myth and legend to become available again. "OUT OF STOCK" but still on the list? I need to call them.

I like the CRG as well but they don’t make a lever (at least as far as I can tell) for a non OEM master cylinder.

CRG is great option...had them on my CBR1000RR. Well made and great fit, had the shorty versions on that bike. I wanted to use them on SFV4, but not available at the time, so i opted for ASV.

Stock, and IMO it doesn't really make sense to upgrade just levers on these bikes. OEM levers have a fair amount of adjustment and feel perfectly fine. I would rather put the money towards billet master cylinders.

I couldn't disagree more.

A tip over can easily break off a lever and could leave you stranded. The majority of riders won't benefit from better master cylinders, egos aside, and that isn't a simple mod due to mounting requirements.

That's a valid point in favor of folding levers, but for the price of a set of levers I would still rather upgrade the masters and get folding levers included.

The upgrade isn't just buying the masters and bolting them on since you'll have clearance issues, so there's more to that then just the $300 master cylinders.

The Evotech levers are maybe $120 for the set of clutch and brake levers.

The stock Brembo masters are fine with the stock calipers and ABS provided you didn’t get an “off day” production run then those stock Brembo MC are rubbish.

OEM, Nissin makes a better product. I chose the SBK masters 1 because I started from scratch 2 I could choose the pump and lever combo I wanted 3 they have better seals and I have the tools to rebuild them and 4 the pump spec matches the spec I needed for the piston spec in the calipers.

Looks wise I think the Galespeed billet MC are pretty slick but parts are difficult to get.
