Oh man, join the Bay Area Desmo Owners Club on Facebook! (BADOC) I just found them recently and they're an awesome bunch. I also joined the Silicon Valley Desmo Owners Club since I'm in SJ, most people are a member of both.
They plan rides throughout the bay, cafe runs, bike nights and get special access to Ducati events through their sponsoring dealer. Ton's of super experienced riders who can help you with almost anything. I'm glad I joined.
