Hey guys, I've done a search here and on google but not having much luck.

As per the title, there is about a 1/2 inch of play in left hand switch control, and about an inch play in the left hand grip (which was annoying on the track a couple of days ago). The clip-on was replaced under insurance after a recent car park drop (and I do have the oxford heated grips on).

Anyway:
a) has anybody else had this; and
b) is there an easy fix? Is there a retaining screw or something (link on the s1000rr)?

Any help appreciated (I checked the service manual (removing clip-on) but found it light-on wrt to tightening anything... but I guess it assumes mechanics know what they're doing ;))

Thanks in advance

If Im not mistaken there is a set screw that may go through the switches into the clipons. And that help keep the switches nice and snug. I actually dont like how the brake and clutch master cylinders are positioned So I actually move both master cylinders forward along with my switches. This way instead of my wrist being sort of bent upward (meaning if I open my hand my palm will be aligned with the road and my fingers point straight ahead). Now my hand and wrist are aligned with the rest of my arm. Meaning my fingers if open and pointing they would point at the same angle as my arm. That being said, when I do this on my bikes. If there is a set screw going into the bars I could either drill new holes or just tighten the set screws against the clipons. I just tighten the set screws nice and tight without drilling any holes. I only drilled holes on a 2014 Monster. I have the 1299 so maybe the clipon set up is different on a V4. But Ive changed my 1299 clipons to Ducabike adjustable and didnt drill. Then sold them and installed the Woodcraft clipons and didnt drill. If your set screw goes through the switch and if used to hold the switch in place, it may have come loose and backed out causing the switch to move. Or it backed out all the way and you need a new one. I could be wrong but just in case check and see.

Here is a link to ducati omaha. The link is for a 2019 V4. If it doesnt take you to page 114 that shows the clipon microfiche. Then go to page 114 2019 Ducati Panigale V4 Parts Diagram Ducati Omaha

Cool, thanks for that. When looking at the service manual, appparently there is a tool you stick into the side of the switch to release it (once you've diconnected the cable)... it made no mention of a set screw... hopefully there is one. I'll have a closer look.

Thanks again.

If youre missing a set screw or a spring like in the microfiche. I am assuming its part #9 or the clip part #21 you now have the microfiche and can order the parts needed right from Ducati Omaha. Hopefully that is the only issue.
