Anyone experience kinda not so sharp fueling during low rpms?
Just got my bike yesterday and clocked abt 80km on them, the low rpm feels kinda bad =X

Does it get better after running in or its a must to get a slip on + upmap or PC5 equivalent?

Mine feels the same, my girlfriend's S is slightly better and it definitely feels like it is getting better as I get some miles in and once past 5K it is fine. My dealer said he can richen fuel mixture up a bit at my break in service since it is a symptom of lean fueling so I am just waiting until then and no big deal.

Mine is running fine at lower RPM. I have the stock exhaust and it is very responsive in lower range, 2000 to 3000 rpm it runs fine. Only have 350 miles on it but I am also making sure to only fill with non ethanol gas. I stay away from any ethanol.

Got mine on Friday, 800km so far and it feels flawless. Sunday evening I got into quite a bit of traffic and it was no problemo.....but then again I cut my teeth on 500cc 2strokes, so lousy fueling was my daily bread:rolleyes:

I thought the fueling in the lower rpm felt fine...just a smooths as my jap bikes. I have noted that having the throttle set at 195 HI makes the bike a little thrashy in town with commuter traffic as the throttle either wants to be on or off and has trouble inbetween. Switching to 195 Low takes care of this in town and I switch it back to 195 HI for the canyons.

I occasionally will be cruising at sub 3000rpm and the engine will get a bit jumpy - kind of spikes in fueling every second or two. It evens out at higher revs. At first I thought it was simply shocks from uneven road surface resulting in me giving unplanned signals to the throttle. But I have observed it on very smooth road surface as well. But it is hard to know if I am imagining it a bit, as it only seems to happen occasionally.

Is this what you mean?

I've noticed an on / off throttling between 4k and 5k rpms! Seems to be smoothing out as I'm adding more miles though!

Good to know it gets better over time, i'm gonna clock more miles once i rewrapped my rock solid seat with more cushion.

The slip ons and up map do help, but even with these upgrades, mine seems to be getting better with more mileage. Up to 700 miles now and first service booked for Monday.

Base model. bought some carbon pieces here and there..

Hmm i can comment that its not as easy to ride as my cbr1, more vibratey (or lively) , alot more heat and the seat is ....... rock solid, just got mine rewrapped today.

I cant even ride 10mins on the damn seat and my butt hurts like crap.

Otherwise the bike is pretty cool. I cant get to use my 6th gear too.. mostly travel below 100km/h

Get the DP comfort seat, it's much better.

Well, i kinda dun like the idea of paying extra 300+sgd for something which in the first place should be given. Eitherway my seats much better now for 60+sgd of work. =)

haha i feel you dude. i experienced the same thing on my current MV Agusta. When i first hopped onto it, it was the seat that set the deepest impression. I was thinking if it was a seat at all! Time to put on some weight and more flesh on your butt. It helps too. hahaha

I am so damn envious of you!!!!

Geez boys, start a thread for the "Tender Buns Club"....:D Stock seat is fine....it's a superbike , not a Goldwing

LOL, Come take a ride on our lovely NYC moonscape roads that we need to ride at least an hour of before the nice twisties, you'll have the comfort seat too. Plus I'm 6'2", I like the extra legroom and height. :D

(Dave- sent u a PM.)

My bike also suffers from erratic fueling at sub 5K rpm- never quite feels happy around that low RPM- sorta surges and stalls- very erratic for sure!

I've been told the race maps are much smoother!

fueling below 4k on ducatis got really bad after they were required to go to Euro 3 tuning. The degree of stumble etc varies widely from bike to bike. My streetfighter is horrendous under 4k rpms. My pani on the other hand is only a slight stumble sub 4k.

It's the reason why lots of people go to a 14t front sprocket because you stay over 4k rpm all the time (never saw the point myself0

Hahahaha! I cound't agree more. I ride at least an hour a day and have zero issues with the stock seat. It may be a tiny bit hard, but nothing to get all up in arms over. I have noticed it being a little rough at low rpms but nothing major.

this is literally "if you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen!" or off the bike ;( It should actually be the "tender and scorched buns club"
