I'm experiencing the same fueling issues on my brand new S ABS model. The dealer said it would be a bit temperamental in the beginning, with fueling and backfiring. And at low RPM waiting at the lights when the bike is just warming up, it has backfired and the fueling will sometimes cause it to stall out (as if it was carborated). After the first 600mi service, I'm sure everything will smooth out nicely.
As for the seat, I'm definitely considering the comfort rider seat. I sometimes run errands in the city, and SF city streets aren't always smooth. I'm thinking if I switch the rear suspension to Progressive and get a comfort seat, my city riding will dramatically improve in terms of general ...-poundings. At the track, it's obviously going to be the racing seat with a Flat suspension setup.
