Running on base bike with stock ends, anyone else experience crappy low rpm fuelling on the bike? I got a feeling that a ecu remap or a power commander is going to be needed to solve this. =(

I had the Termis and up-map to help with this issue. Having partially solved the low rpm fuelling issues, the other issue is that the Termi up-map runs very rich and, according to Rich Austin's data, reduces hp by about 5.

It would be worth waiting to see what Austin Racing can do before you take any decisions. Check out the thread and dynos on the main discussion page.

Frankly, the stock map runs ok .No complaint.....The pulsating "boom" from the stock exhaust while idle and moving off is just intoxicating and ride is involving.love it

There is a update comming from Ducati. Also supposed to help with the starting issues too. Was at the local dealer when the memo came over. So I'm assuming we'll all be going in for a flash here in the short future.

There is probably a limit to how much can be done to improve low rpm fueling. There is only one set of tuning values for the first 7% of throttle (per my tuner, who has directly accessed the ECU on my bike and is working at remapping the ECU).

It should also be noted that at low rpm, intake and exhaust velocities are relatively low and sensors due to low sampling rates are not going to be nearly as precise at reflecting true operating levels, so precise tuning is not generally possible to begin with.
