Just had my MAC radiators fitted up bit of effort but well worth it .
This system deletes the oil transfer box and the thermostat which requires splitting the bike will take at least another litre of oil .
I found MAC radiators great to deal with and kit came with everything to complete the job .

wow, looks great! is it really required to remove the fan? did you do the mounting yourself and how hard is it?

You could keep the fan if you want but this being a race bike it is not required . I did not do the work myself but it is straight forward . The hardest part is splitting the bike to remove the thermostat .

So you are racing again?

I have used the MAC radiator setup for the last half of 2014,

Once I got ALL the air out of the radiator - performance was excellent.
Last race engine temp was app. 82 dec Celcius - and before with normal radiator and oil heat exchanger - I had temp in excess of 105 dec Celcius - peaking around 120 dec Celcius mid summer

Highly recommended :D

They are awesome to do if I have purchased two radiators from MAC , one oil and one just straight water. Quick, great quality, and reliable. You can't go wrong with the guy.

Thamer,

Did you use anything for a guard to protect the guards? do they sale them?

You really think you could keep the fan? I don't think a fan could draw enough air to effect the oil temp if the bike was standing...

Forget I asked. I just spoke to MAC and he changed the lower cooler design to put the return line on the opposite side so that people can keep the fan. Just for everyone's knowledge. I'm running straight water cause my 1299 is street/trackday, not race. I may have to go back to the oil cooler route. if someone wants a straight oversized water cooler...30mm veins.
