MAC Radiators

Forget I asked. I just spoke to MAC and he changed the lower cooler design to put the return line on the opposite side so that people can keep the fan. Just for everyone's knowledge. I'm running straight water cause my 1299 is street/trackday, not race. I may have to go back to the oil cooler route. if someone wants a straight oversized water cooler...30mm veins.

Why are you thinking to go Oil cooler route?

I'm asking because I dont have much knowledge on this and learning from this posts.

Consider the climate you live in . If you are in a cooler climate the standard set up may be more suitable for warmer the oil cooler is the way to go . It also saves weight as the caste iron standard ser up is heavy and you also run the advantage of holding a little more oil .

I have been thinking about it but I'm undecided. Also I have a 30 mm oversize water only radiator which I haven't used yet only because I have been busy with work. I guess if somebody made me an offer for the radiator I already have then I'd be interested in going oil/water. Also I've known Maca long time I was one of the first guys to get his product here on the form. So I just called him to find out OK.

So does the redesign bring the lower radiator's water portion lower down? I know previously, the fan wouldn't reach the water portion of the lower radiator
