Don, I would like to contribute to your harness project. Where do you want this sent?

I'm confused. Your going to throw a sleeve puller at your harness when it catches fire? That's not very efficient. I mean I suppose if you hit the flames with the puller enough times that it will eventually extinguish but man, a fire extinguisher would really be a lot better. Your call

It won’t catch fire til I get the trans swapped and put it back together. I can almost guarantee that...

Please oh please lemme borrow one of your sleeve pullers

You lift that from NB Ducati? Mike is going to be pissed. No way you bought that, not on that unemployment check your getting

How far is your office from 252 walnut 92627

Didn’t you say it was by the back bay? I live 1/4 mile from the back bay

That is what a great guy Ed is everyone. I even promised I would get Mick to blow him if he loaned it to me. No. $600 later I have a tool I’ll use twice in my life. (1199 1399). What a guy!

You're probably the first person I've met who is a proclaimed mechanic/builder and gets upset over expanding their tool inventory. Sure, the price tag hurts, but that's one more thing in your bag of tricks. I love collecting unique tools.

Yeah definitely can't buy any tools .... cant even get tires for that pos. Whats with that shock with the DES wires hanging off it everytime I see that I LMAO!!!!

This gets even better. Hey Don, whats the cylinder tool for? Well since you split your case and bought the tool anyhow, Im guessing you don't know and you wasted 600 bucks.

It pulls the sleeves part way out of the cases. The cases can be split with the front sleeve in place but the rear (V) sleeve has to be pulled out an inch or so before they will separate. The cases I split were not my R cases. That was the motor I got for free (broke rod). I pulled the studs and then was able to pry the sleeve out. Could do the same with my motor but do not want to risk damaging the cases. Screw up the mating surface for the cylinder head on one of these motors and it’s not some $40 resurface at your local machine shop.

I imagine it could also be used if you wanted to remove the pistons without splitting the cases for guys like you n Mick with the single ring motors that need pistons every 1500 miles. If I am gonna be pulling pistons I am checking ALL the clearances so I won’t ever use it for that. Thx for the help man, you are a great guy : )
