all right calm down :D

if any 1299 owners could let me know if this is normal on the front of their 1299s i'd appreciate it . It is at the nose of the ducati where the two fairings meet.

I showed it to the dealer and they tried to make it better but they said it was the same problem they had with the superleggera. so no help there.

I'm not really upset about it but I'd like to know that this is normal before I Give up on it.
thank You
David

The front tab hasn't seated correctly. Undo all the bolts, slide it forward slightly and it ought to click into position before you slide it aft again. Run your fingers down inside of the lip in front of the radiator, you'll know when it's seated correctly. Don't try and force it with the bolts in or there's a good chance it'll snap. I don't know why Ducati changed the fastener for the upper fairing panel (under the headlight) but it's a PITA to fit.

If you are close to Duc Indy I'd take my .... there.. Who is your dealer or a city lol

I should have bought my bike from indy ducati I went to a place in michigan it was two hours closer .

The 1199 has push tabs in the inner wall and the 1299 has screws. These screws are pretty long and you just need to tighten the screws a bit. I found it easy to squeeze the fairing and inner nose fairing with one hand while tightening this screw to seat it properly. Mine didn't come this way but when I took it in to Ducati for some work and I notice the gap when I got home and I fixed it.

Thanks. I noticed something similar on my 1299S on Friday - I haven't picked it up yet, so will ask them to "fix" before I take delivery.

Investigate carefully, as you may have some broken clips/tabs.

Could be why the dealer can't make it work:rolleyes:
