DESCRIPTION
The MWP is a patented electromechanical system that manage the temperature of heat of engines.
The MWP kits are based on two main components:
the electronic control unit and the electric water pump. The control unit is installed on the vehicle and can be connected to the CAN or work independently.
Its task is to acquire engine temperature data, through sensors or ECU, and manage the operation of the electric pump and radiator fans. The control unit determines the heat produced by the engine and the heat dissipated by the radiator, and manages the system operation through a specific algorithm.
The electric pump can be mounted in series with the standard mechanical pump to reduce its workload or can be installed exclusively, eliminating the mechanical pump. In this case, the power absorption of the pump is eliminated with a gain in horsepower at all revs.
OPERATION
Based on the target temperature set by the user or pre-set in the factory (depending on the models), the control unit intervenes by independently managing the flow rate of the electric pump and any operation of the radiator fans in a combined manner.
The cooling liquid flow is then managed by the electric pump independently of the number of engine revolutions and based on the actual needs of the engine. The speed of the cooling fans is also managed proportionally in a range of 0% -100% (therefore no longer on/off), without waiting for the engine to reach high temperature.
The electric pump fitted on modern engines guarantees a completely new level of efficiency, noticeably increasing the capacity of the original radiator to dissipate the engine heat.
In recent years, the ever higher specific power of engines, combined with increasingly stringent antipollution regulations, has resulted in an increase in engine operating temperatures. During an urban journey, for example, the engine often reaches and exceeds temperatures above 100° C.
In these cases, at reduced speeds and revolutions, the mechanical pump would have a minimum flow rate while the electric pump can run at maximum speed to reduce the engine temperature, ensuring better comfort on board and avoiding thermal stress to the engine.
PROPORTIONAL RADIATOR FAN CHECK
The electronic control unit combines the operating mode of the pump with the proportional management of the fans, so there is no longer on/off but 0 to 100%. This way, the fan can intervene already at temperatures lower than those set by the manufacturer, avoiding a build-up of heat in the engine which is more difficult to disperse.
FOR THOSE USING THE MOTORCYCLE ON A TRACK
If you use the motorcycle on dirt or asphalt tracks, you know how important it is to keep the engine temperature in the right range.
This is not only to avoid thermal stresses to the engine but also to have optimal carburation and avoid ignition cuts.
The MONZATECH kit ensures engine efficiency and stable performance. Increasing the performance of the cooling system, increases the efficiency of the original radiator, so there is no need to replace it with larger models.
ELIMINATION OF THE THERMOSTATIC VALVE
The system automatically adjusts the flow of liquids in the system, making the thermostatic valve and radiator choking superfluous.
INCREASED POWER
In the case of a stand-alone installation, it is possible to remove the impeller of the mechanical
pump, recovering the power absorbed over the entire distribution span.
