British Superbike Championship

Shakey with Panigale wins the Championship.

hahaha young r you are the man. if rossi had won his 10th would it be more important. ahh dont answer that.

YES INDEED, next to a WSBK, BSB is the most competitive and important super bike series out there. Shakey and the Be Wiser team did and outstanding job.

It is good to see Panigale on top. Hopefully we see Ducati on top next year in WSBK as well.

And hopefully Lorenzo can win with Ducati in MotoGP as well. Even as much as I don't like Lorenzo, I like Ducati more.

same here.

i actually started liking him a bit.

he pisses people off.
i think that's quite entertaining.

How to ride a Panigale. See Mr S Byrne. Then Mr C Davies with his one armed to the teeth with electronics. This might be a controversial opinion - While BSB doesn't have the glitz, glamour and locations ( as great as some of our tracks are, cadwell on a cold rainy day is grim as fook) of WSBK and Moto GP it's by far and away the best bike racing series on the planet.

Congrats to Shakey!

IMO comparing BSB to WSBK is like comparing apples to oranges... Now I'm not trying to take away the fact that Shakey and others in the BSB and the overall series is awesome, and I wish it was televised here in the states, but that the series are just that much different because the rules and money involved. So I don't see the equal comparison between Shakey and Davies not that one is better than the other but they are required to ride much different bikes because that's what each of those series allow to be competitive. Just my thought...

I agree that a close racing series to the end with multiple manufactures is the best racing to watch. In the end I'm a fan of all motorcycle racing but prefer good battles to the end like I'm sure all others here enjoy as well.

[...]and I wish it was televised here in the states[...]

While I don't remember which station off the top of my head (CBS Sports, Velocity, ...), the races are currently being televised in a compressed format (probably 50% of the laps)...

I hear yea Phil. My wife and I met him while in Indy. Signed my copy of MotoGP that he happened to be on the cover that quarter. He was great in person but his comments make it tough to root for the guys at times. I understand that he himself has admitted to being a jerk at times and I am sure some of that comes from his pursuit of perfection and his expectation of the same with his fellow competitors.

Thanks, I'm gonna have to look into those channels as I need more racing to watch. I may have an addictive problem with motorcycles, motorcycle racing and all things related...:D

as long as he doesn't do the "black mamba" or "shooter mcgavin" thing at the end of a race.

And I could do without the ghey podium jump too.
