Now the rear suspension is good I've been struggling to get the front setup as I want it. The DES settings just weren't doing it for me, the bike felt skittish, so after checking the static and rider sag (which was good) the wrench dropped the forks down through the clamps by approx 3mm. The effect was subtle but effective and had two effects, firstly slowing the 'drop-in' in the corners but also made the front feel generally more planted both in long corners and on the straight.
I did my first track day the next day, switched to race mode, and I didn't feel the urge to mess with the suspension once - it felt right. So for me this small adjustment made all the difference.
