Paddock rumour, gossip and speculation has it that Petronas will take over the Yamaha Tech3 Satellite bikes for next year, meaning that there will be vacant seats on a Yamaha.

Can't think who that might be being lined up for ?

There have been on and off rumours of Rea's switch to MotoGP for the last couple of years, it will be interesting to see how he does if he does in fact make the move. He did ok previously in his wildcard rides.

At least Sykes could win another WSBK title or Davies could get his first - either is highly unlikely with Rea still in that championship.

I think Dani make an announcement at the Catalunya GP and we will see things rapidly fall into place then.

Even if Petronas and Sepang International Circuit take over the seats of am existing team, it seems that Syahrin will indeed partner Oliveira at Tech3 KTM.

Sepang CEO gives his reason in this article below and it makes sense. It would be too risky to put Syahrin's future on the edge waiting for the deal to come true.

As such, Syahrin will have a seat in a MotoGP team in 2019 no matter what. If SIC & Petronas do come to Motogp he can switch in 2020 teams in 2020. If not, he can resign with KTM or move to other team if he performs well.
