I don't think many of us are talking about hating bicyclists, as many motorcyclists also ride bicycles. That said, the militant, as srleadjb said, "dare you to hit me" mentality of many bicyclists is frightening and often maddening to those of us who really try to give them the space they need to feel comfortable while enjoying ourselves on the roads we supposedly share. In ABQ, it seems we motorcyclists (and cagers) are expected to share, but bicyclists are not. The double standard is asenine in the extreme.
