Mounted GPS

Mounted GPS (photo added)

I finally got the mount installed and hardwired. I like the end result. It is a Garmin 350LM. Seems to work just fine. Only question is how do I know the Garmin is running off the hard wire? Stupid question I guess. Just want to make sure wiring was done correctly.

If it follows the same rules as my 660, there will be no battery indicator on the screen of the 350 when running off the hard wire.

Where did the mount come from? I could do with one of those.

Mine still shows the battery indicator. The way it connects is so slight, just two small dots that have to touch. This whole thing has been a bitch actually

Not sure what to suggest, but perhaps leave it connected on your next ride out and see if the battery level drops?

Well anyone thinking of getting a Garmin may do well to look at the connections on the back. I'll have to send a photo. Its not a plug but two very small gold plates that make contact with the two plates on the cord. No plug or any kind of connection. Hard to explain but very poor design. Garmin is sending me a new one as there must be a problem with this one.
