Gentlemen,

I'm picking my 2013 Panigale S (Red) tomorrow. I've got a grand or two to spend on accessories. What are some must have Panigale S accessories in your brilliant and creative minds?

Fender Eliminator, tank pad and rear sets are on the list.

Cheers

Comfort seat..Termi slips...the list can be endless..... Your budget is modest

Congratulations!

There's only two items I'd consider must have's:
Aftermarket rearsets or pegs (stock ones are slippery as all hell).
Comfort, Race or R seat (the last two are covered in a material that keeps you planted on the track, the former makes long rides a little more pleasant).

All the rest are just nice-to-haves:

(Avoid the Ducati carbon tank pad--it separates rather quickly.)
GB or Woodcraft Case covers.
Brake/Clutch levers.
Lightweight battery (Shorai).
Carbon bling.

Oh-you may want to consider having a tinted visor to hide the silly grin you're going to have on your face all the time.

Check out what Bellisimoto has on their site for the Panigale and hit up Gunny (on this forum) regarding discounts.

must haves....

The race or comfort seat as everyone keeps saying.

I like the radiator and oil cooler gaurds and paint protection film and sliders for protection

leather pants....this beast is hot and that helps more than anything

That's really all you "need".....rest is just what you "want". Bike is awesome as is really.

Personally, I'm not adding any protection to my bike. I consider this a one use bike, if I crash it, I don't want to ride it ever again. The engine is the frame, too many what ifs, I don't think the bike would ever be back to 100% after going down. I'll happily take my insurance cheque after they write it off. I have full replacement insurance. Of course this is just my opinion on this bike, I've done things differently with other bikes in the past.

I Agree but the key word is crash it. If some ....... backs into it like they did Antiheros bike your insurance company may not total it.

Remember on a bike everything is replace not repair. If some ....... backs into it, and it's just cosmetic stuff, those parts will be replaced with brand new ones. Hit and runs do not affect my premiums, only at fault claims. Actually I get one free-bee at fault claim.

+1 for Fender Eliminator and pegs. You may not need to go the full rearset route, as I've found I rather like the stock location. Rizoma pegs are awesome, and cost about 80 bucks. I haven't changed out my seat yet, but I think the race seat is going to be next.

Another one to add is a Pitbull single-sided rear stand if you don't already have one.

I would start with what is functional and then move to aesthetics. In my opinion, in order of importance for $1k - $2k.

1. Rearsets or at least footpegs (a must) (I went with Lightech).
2. Seat (I have the "R" on my "S").
3. Swingarm cover.
4. GB engine covers (not much to look at, but I think offer the best protection).
5. Axle sliders (inexpensive way to potentially save you a lot of money).
6. Corsa or equivalent windscreen (I have the DP tall on mine).
7. Tank grips (I have Tech-Spec. Stomp grip probably offers a little more grip but I think the Tech-Spec looks better on this bike).
8. DP performance levers (I don't have these on mine yet but hear great things about them).
9. Fuel cap (I like things simple and more of a race look so I went with the Lightech).
10. DP tail tidy (Really, the only thing I think the bike needs to improve the look).

Mates,

All wicked answers. Yea my budget is a bit modest right now.

Here's a list I made after your input:

Comfort seat
Fender eliminator
Rear sets or just the Rizoma pegs
Pitbull single-sided rear stand
Tank pad

Termis would have been sweet but I guess I gotta wait a little bit.

Start with this list and go from there. Glad to be a part of this

Cheers for all the input and keep it coming.

Be careful with the tank pads. I have had two Ducati ones and both have come apart and then a nightmare to remove the glue.

i gotta agree with all the tank pad comments mine started to seperate but i was extrememly careful and used some super glue to put the two parts back together...

and its been fine....and no super glue touched my paint....thats what i was very careful on.....

I removed mine with goo off. Came off fairly easy without scratching the tank. I swapped my DP to Shift tech's carbon fiber tank protector. I can honestly say its the best tank protector I have ever owned. The picture on shift tech's bike does not do it justice at all. In photos they look huge but it's not! it's like a piece of art the photos don't show the lines. It's one of my favorite CF bling next to shift techs CF gas cap. They make awesome CF parts. Not a flaw in any of the parts I have ordered from them. Im in no way affiliated with Shift Tech but I do recommend their CF. specially the tank protector.

Just a thought- my DP tank protector started to seperate after 2 weeks with good cleaning but a friend of my put his DP tank protector on with a heat gun and it hasn't peeled back yet it's been a year
