I've been thinking about one of these as a possible replacement for my Triumph Sprint ST (mainly because of hard bag ability for long distance). Though I'd probably go with the Hyper Motard version and just add the bags rather than the Strada version.

Would be interested in getting your impressions of long distance ability (i.e. multi-day, 400+ mile days). I use my Sprint for 1-2 week (500 mile day) trips. Would definitely like to hear how it would stack up in that dept.

Nice bike! I almost picked one of these up last summer, but decided to get a GS instead. I was at my dealer over the weekend and they had one and a Pikes Peak as well so it had me thinking again. :)

Enjoy!

I have test ridden one and found it to be a complete blast. I particularly remember the suspension feeling extremely plush compared to the Pani. It's a fun bike and features a nice array of utility features - the thought of adding one to the garage has crossed my mind.

I thought about getting another Hyper and doing the same.I really dig the colors on the SP but didn't do it for several reasons.

-The Strada is lower seat height right out of the box and that was a big plus for me.I had a Hyper 1100 Evo before and it felt so tall! With a passenger on the Strada I can completely flat foot.

-Also adding the passenger grab handles + side panniers to the Hyper is expensive.Being I already have the Panigale I couldn't justify spending more than I had to.

-Comes with 12v sockets from the factory.A must for gadgets on the longer trips.

The Strada is more civilized than my 1100 Evo which was a wheelie monster without even trying. But dont think the Strada is weak,it takes off the line REALLY GOOD! The pickup is great and so is the sound at higher revs.Feels really planted to the ground and not trying to kill me as much as the Hyper 1100.Another plus is its so comfortable even going 90mph or so.You'll lose track of how fast you're really going. And you're bound to not be a prime target for speed police vs lets say my Panigale.

Yes suspension is very plush.Seating is easy, for my passenger also not so high in the air vs my other bikes.

Fastest guy in our local canyons has a strada.

Cant keep it off the back wheel, runs slicks and there always balled up.
Im still unsure if I wanna keep the stock rear or switch it out to something stickier. Then again this bike wont be taking curves at high speeds with passenger and bags full of road trip goodies.

Capt CF: Go with the Pikes Peak! Having previously owned a Multi, its an amazing machine!

I am tempted by the hyperstrada looks very nice indeed my tech tells me it's quick!
I am also tempted by the PP
I really love the Multi the height is a great advantage see over the cars and small vans, makes overtake opportunities more apparent

Toured on my Pani to world week in Italy with a pillion in 2012, she is a slightly crazy lady ! but 2000 miles plus in ten days was a bit of a push ?

going again this year and seriosly considering the upgraded 2014 Diavel in black and white ? have test ridden normal and Strada diavel and prefer the standard riding position, so as long as the new one will take the pannier set up I may place the order ?

Would have really liked an AMG but they are very hard to find in the UK it seems most of the 500 ended up in the US ? still see them advertised as new !

My Hyperstrada. worth every extra penny and I can ride it all day long with no issues, plus its fast and loves when you lean it over hard.

I just got one Hyperstrada 2014, used with 6,000 miles. Only ridden shortly. It is a blast to ride for sure, love the different ride modes, loves the size and weight of the bike. I was expecting honestly a little be more wind protection specially above 60 mph, however i'm not planning to do too much of hwy rides, perhaps just getting old. Also the way the seat is secure is not the best, it moves a lot.
I'm looking forward to add a Top Case to it so I don't need to use the side bags.
Anyways love it and looking forward to ride a lot more, even to commute to work.
