Ok so heres my observations.

First, let me say I came from years of jap bikes and still own an R1. A few things are clear about my new pain.
1. The car in front of me is ALWAYS too fkn slow.
2. THe Pani HATES first gear, its just wants to go fast, first gear actually feels weird to me coming from my jap bikes.
3. The bike is very hot, however ive learned if i scoot back on the cement stock seat, the heat isnt that bad.
4. Speaking of the cement seat, I cannot wait for my comfort seat to arrive.
5. My new Pani is a little temperamental even to the point that she got pissed and stalled on my at a red light and then gave me a fit to start again, however it only happened once and im hoping its because she was just acting like a wild horse and trying my patients. Anyone else ever experienced this?
6. I dont think ill be riding my Yamaha anytime soon..
7. Why do so many people look at me while im riding this bike? Wait i know, the people are looking at the bike that im riding thats it :)

Congratulations on your new bike. I'm a little envious, as I mostly get to look at mine in the garage. To answer your question, yes

Thanks for those links, it helps make me feel a little better that my pani isnt just being a bitch to be a bitch but just has a few mental issues to work through. Jesus it sounds like a marriage.....

about stalling, mine does that from time to time for no apparent reason, still havent figured it out, must be a Duc thing

Me coming from an R1 I have to agree. She is not temperamental when you ride her hard. I had a total of three stalls before my first service and hadn't had one since. The comfort/race seat will reduce the seat heat. In fact I have not even felt the seat heat since day 1 because I left the store with the comfort seat. Had issues with the right inner thigh but no longer an issue. I did feel the seat heat on the Demo bike though. The bike gets better and better the more you ride it.
Have fun and enjoy!

Have you tried giving it a little gas before letting the clutch out? Just an idea...

Yea im a little more conscience of that now as im a little gun shy she will stall again at the worst time, The stall i had tonight cant be proven it was my Ducs fault, That time i may not have moved my throttle as quick as i started to roll so ill give her the benefit of the doubt on that. Just got back and now got 150 miles under my belt on her.

While it is a little cool out tonight, the heat was weird, it came and went but i think you avoid most of it by scooting back on the seat, i really didn't notice it to bad then, but again i'm on this hard ass stock seat so once my comfort seat gets here, ill see how that effects things. Something thats pretty cool about this bike is that even after riding for long periods of time, the metal dont pop barley at all once i shut it off.

There is just no comparison to this and my jap bikes it is truly just a whole different ride. I hate to admit, but i bought the Pani WITHOUT EVER TEST RIDING or even listening to one fire up in person ;-) Yea Ballsy but i knew that this bitch was going to be mine regardless and i didn't want to ruin my surprise and I will admit, i am not disappointed in the least. This bike makes you love her, you just cant help it. NO Buyers Remorse and im 3 days down :)

That last paragraph says it for me exaxctly. And same thing with buying, never heard it run before purchase! And funny thing, I did stall it today at the left turn signal! Been awhile since I rode it - a bit embarrassing, but started right off, did an unintended wheelie, and off I went!

My 749R is the absolute worst for that.....30mph cut outs approaching roundabouts...........the Pani has not cut out once...might be a mileage thing on the Pani....I'm 1300 in with no issues.................

Welcome to the club!

Mine's cut out maybe twice when slowing to a stop but never with new up-map.

I love my bike more after 10,000km than I did after 75. The power and sound is viscerally exciting. I couldn't ride before I bought, there weren't any production bikes - a lot of guys on this forum did the same, we just fell in love with the look.

i WITHOUT EVER TEST RIDING [/QUOTE said:
I test rode it twice and DID NOT LIKE IT. However, a few months later I bought it anyway!!! Demoing a Panigale is a bad idea because the demo ride takes place out of the bikes comfort zone where poor fueling takes place. ie. city streets, stop and go, slow speeds etc. This bike excels during Hard Hard riding but comes up short in other areas.

I hear ya. I did the same thing. I've never owned a bike before but always wanted one. I walked into the dealer pointed right at her and said she is coming home with me. I had never road a bike in my life. My friend road the 2 miles to my house and we put her in my house. I took a riding class a week later and now have about 5K miles on her. I can't get enough!
