My Tail Tidy Recomendation !!

Just installed mine. The kit is alright, but they left out the instruction manual, I figured it out, but still.. I like the overall result, but I wish turn indicators were not rough white plastic but rather a more traditional "glass". The white is a bit out of place in otherwise beautiful tail section. I also do not get why not to include 4 screws for mounting the plate. They are plastic and I am not sure where to get two more as I like my plate with 4 screws..

I had the same thoughts when installing mine.

Did anyone have trouble actually getting theirs mounted to the bike? I completely stripped the flat head hex screw trying to bolt it on. Not sure if I got a bad batch...but I had to torque the crap out of it to even get it more than 1/4'' of the way in the thread hole.

ABSOLUTELY satisfied and recommend NRC Tail Tidy. It maintains the lines of the sexy tail section while being able to mount your plate in 2 different config.

You can mount it more traditional fashion or a more tucked look, both look good and display you plate with no worries from the LEO. Both positions still utilize the provided license plate LED. I think its brilliant !!

I bought this piece directly from New Rage Cycles though is it distributed by a few.

Are there instructions anywhere? I ordered this thing for my Speciale and it doesn't even look remotely correct.... There are 3 connectors on the NRC part and only 1, 4 pin connector that was going to the turn signals on the original tail? None of the holes seem to line up? WTH? Very unimpressed! Does your bike originally have 3 connectors coming out of the tail? One for the plate lite and 2 for the signals?

I looked on their website and it doesnt look like instructions are up yet for the v4. That being said...i figured it out. Regarding the connectors, you have to take apart the oem tail light stalk and unhook the connectors there, and hook the three leads up to the nrg lights, and connect the other end to the 4 pin on your bike.

LOL... yeah I figured it out too. Note to self: Drink beer after install of tidy tail is complete. Not before.:D

NRC e-mailed me the instructions. You can ask them for the instructions or I can forward them. PM me with an e-mail address.

Yep I emailed NRC too and Justin (the owner) responded back super quick with a pdf of them. Very nice guy.

Glad you all got it worked out, I didn't struggle too much with the install...I cant remember the last time a mainstream product came with instructions :-/ ..Not even a PitBull front stand ...trust me, I've see ppl do em wrong lol.

Once I saw that wiring didn't make sense I knew I had to retain the oem connectors from the plate holder assembly. straight fwd after you figure out which config you want your plate displayed.

Is there anyone coming out with a replacement tail light that will just have blinkers built in as modes, so to speak?

sadly i stripped my hex screws as well-had them in and out a couple times no problem but on final install they went bye bye..
