Back to you Rhino !

True that. This is YOUR thread Rhino, and after such an awesome intro like that we should not be hijacking it on exhaust valve talk. Please continue my overseas friend!

:D

Great write-up Rhino. I would recommend a full TERMI system and some DP Rear Sets. I also have the 3M Venture protection on my bike.

Nice write-up!. Your analysis of the seat is spot on. I'm 5' 6'' and I feel the same way as what you described.

You funny .......s.

Gunny, I've not kept to one mode for any real reason.
New bike and tyres = wet mode to be safe for the first couple of kms.
Up to sport for normal riding.
I'm not avoiding RACE mode, just haven't consciously decided to use it.

I'll use 8k up to about 4-500kms and then pretty much let it off the chain.
The breakin advice has come from an ex motogp mechanic and I'm happy to take it on board.
I've not been gentle with it, just not extreme.

Got a funny story from the weekend that I'll write up later. A woman followed me (well, the bike) and damn near sold me her daughter. I'm sure she would have if I suggested it.
Psycho crazy arsed bitch.

Hey Rhino didnt happen to be these two:D

The photo she showed me, yep, showed me a photo (got the full sales pitch) was pretty damn decent.

But bitch it crazy. You don't want crazy for a mother in law.

Untrue- the valve and servo motor are removed during the installation of the Slip On system as well. Believe me, both mine (on my Tri Color) and my neighbor and fellow member here, had slip on installed at first service, no longer have these components on our bikes. It's ok, alot of folks seem to think the same thing. :D

I have no idea where this misinformation came from :confused:

Obviously not helped by "not reading old threads sickness", since its been pretty heavily documented .... and thats just by me!

What do ya mean Xbox? Which way are you saying it as misinformation, that the valve and servo motor ARE or ARE NOT removed when installing the slip on system only? I took the quoted material about it NOT being removed from the member "Blackers" thread comment.

This was your reply on that thread back on May 2, 2012. Techically you are correct. However, now that nothing opens or closes after slip ons are installed there is no "valve" to mention. Make sense? (Using your line-lol)

I have the slip-ons that come with the Tric.

A butterfly is built into the exhaust manifold, just above the connection point you see in the pic.

As you can also see, other redundant items:

1) Black box houses the actuator motor, located above the engine fan that sits in the belly pan.

2) Cable is the operating cable.

Butterfly is spring loaded, so now permanently sits wide open.

Make sense?

I gotma big box of spares when they the full Termi system on which included the black box /cable and servo, etc. You can elect to leave it on, but I told them I want the db killers off, thus the butterflies are open permanently as Gunny says. What's the problem?

I actually like the idea of it going all stealth to be honest.

If I gotta ride down the freeway for an hour, sure, turn it down if I'm keeping a constant speed.

So much for not Hijacking the post Gunny :D. Excuse my ignorance if I was incorrect. However, I was Quoting my mechanic when he told me it does not get removed unless requested with the slipons. ;).

Truth = all removed

Misinformation = not removed

I think this makes sense ;)
