Hi all, received my V4S Steetfighter today snd some boxes with the OEM exhaust etc, amongst all the parts was this piece. Does anyone know what it is an where it lives, plastic and about 12 inches long, thanks.

That should be a part installed at the factory.

Just walked out and looked at mine, it is also not there. Ducati may be indicating its removal on install of the Akra exhaust. the left side exhaust outlet is right near where that plastic piece would be. Guessing it was a melt issue if left on.
 
Yep, your right, it seems the dealer has installed a different type due to the Akra pipe, there is definitely a similar type fitted below my chain without the side clip that used to go to the factory exhaust as bp_SFV4 mentioned, thanks guys, much appreciated, by the way the bike is awesome and sounds unbelievable with the Akra's.

I'd be interested to see what is there on yours. Mine has nothing. Post a pic?
 
I see what you mean mate, it was there to stop the chain slapping the stock cans it needed to come off as not to interfere with the L/H Akra end can. Dealer removed it at exhaust install, just make sure you use a good chain lube so you don't get fling off all over those beautiful pipes.
