Hey Gman- It was me that wanted to hear all about your track day and how everything went, why did you think no one wanted to follow up on it bro? So glad you had an amazing day and got the feel of things. The guy with the Sharkskins is meeting with my custom painter buddy today on the job he is doing! I am scheduling a day for a number of us in late Sept if you wish to join us? It will either be at VIR or your NC track. RSR and a few other members are coming also, so it will be like a little reunion! I have very good connections at VIR and if you have never seen or stayed in their trackside suites overlooking the straight, it is a real treat my friend! The garages are directly underneath and have full power and clean enough to eat off floor! I already made contact with them about our group. We will probably be jumping in with Team Pro Motion and I need to look at their dates again in Sept or early Oct when its nice there!

As far as all this other BS going on in your thread, I will explain it to you in detail via PM. It is VERY interesting to say the least. :D

ps. I know there was a pro photographer there that day, did you end up getting any of his shots of you on track? Post em up dude! Love to see you on the bike! The attached shot is me on my 748R back in the day when I could ride on the track. Will tell ya my background and more of that too.

DUH- just realized that is my avatar too. Its my disability talking. So I will add another photo of the war time paint job. LOL

The Old Gunny

At a time in life when I was able to ride the track. That bodywork has been redone in a number of different schemes and is presently on my race SV now.

Yeah, he usually is out there taking shots. I was bummed out there were no photographers. My wife took some shots, but they're turned out so tiny that I wasn't even sure they were of me, lol. That was even with a 200mm lens.
Maybe when we do the Sept. track event I can get the track owner to allow my wife out there with her Canon.;)

Haven't been on the tracks mentioned, but on most tracks you can kind of sneak out and get pictures. I know some require even the photogs to be on the inside of the turns and not anywhere near where bikes might come off. . . Bring a monster zoom lens and set it up for auto zoom, fast shutter and and rapidfire shots.

The "old glory" skins have me thinking about some sharkskins and that paint scheme...would you mind if I borrowed it and give it to your giu in Conn.?

That would be a sick looking Pani IMO.

Can't wait for the VIR event. I could use a lesson from you guys...all of my 12 years of racing was done in Porsches...I always said I'd drive two days to VIR for one day on the track...love that place....love it!
