Hi Folks, new to Ducati and the forum. Have raced just about every V4 and inline 4, but never a twin. Just picked up a 2013 1199R that is race ready, but looking for tips and advice on how to get it set up right while I wait for tracks to open again. Here is what I have learned by searching: best swing arm pivot point seems to be -4. I typically go the opposite way to keep from wheeling on exit, but if that is not a problem, I will go with -4 as a starting point. Tank extenders seems to be in order to get weight further aft. Does that really make a difference?? I typically like fast steering, and often go more aggressive than stock when it comes to steering angle and offset, any suggestions? What about ride height, any starting point for shock length and fork height?

TIA

Guess your not going to find too many people that have raced R's and can give you much info. Might want to check with some suspension companies that have experience setting up the bikes for track use. Maybe Ducati Omaha would have some useful info.

Most people are running a tank extension because the tank shape of the panigales is terrible. No one that races these bikes at a hi level uses this tank

Thanks for the replies. I am surprised that there is so little race information available about these bikes
