New Addition - '14 Pikes Peak

Powdercoating will look sick on it. How did it do in the canyons? Did you miss your 1199?

It did great in the canyons like Palomar, Borrego and Banner Grades.

I still have the '14 "R" also, nothing compares to the thrill it gives me in the canyons.

The '14 "R" gives me the ultimate thrill because of how fast it is everywhere. Sooo much a "Hooligan Bike" if I have ever had one. I love it!

The Pikes Peak is a different kind of thrill. You are upright and feel like you are on a MX bike. It wheelies out of corners and man does it jam through the canyons. It just does it with a different feel!

That's what I should have asked lol. I have the hyper and its a damn blast. It will wheelie and snatch its ass around yet lay down like a crotch rocket but I'm still upright. I would have preferred a bigger motor in it. Sounds like the Multi does all of that and more.

That is about the only adventure style bike that catches my eye, and I was able to put 170 miles on one (good to have a friend who owns the dealer). But I'm curious whether you were tempted to wait for a 2015. It has an awful lot of meaningful changes.

Regardless, you got a great bike.....congrats.

My desire was to purchase the Pikes Peak. With the model not in the lineup next year it was an easy decision.

I got the DP Full Race Termignoni System in for the Pikes Peak. We cut the muffler down to just under half the original length. We cut off the tab for the center stand bumper as I wont fit the center stand to the bike. We also removed the Exhaust Servo motor and bracket from the bike.

It is over being coated in High Temp Powder - Semi Gloss Black. We took over all of the exhaust piping and muffler for coating. I should have it back this week to fit it all back on. I cant wait to see and hear it with the new exhaust on it.

This is a picture of the system before being cut down and powdercoated. The '13-'14 system comes with the Up-Map doggle rather then the Race ECU pictured.

We finished the final assembly after the High Temp Powdercoat.

I will load up the pictures first then we will load up a sound clip later today once getting it up on youtube.

Lefty it looks like it came that way without modding. Looks awesome dude. Can't wait to see pics after the install.

We went for a short ride over to the beach today. It is actually a very nice deep tone unless you snap the throttle and make it bark. I was afraid it was going to be too loud but you can keep it down to a very nice deep tone easily on take off and cruise.
