yeah, the fact that it'd be a 16h ride for me holds me back a bit.

i could fly there, but i fly all the time and i hate airports, tsa, people, lines ...

i am currently checking my pramac connection, if that works out, i will come see you guys.

i am assuming great number of people who live in TX or next state but not local to COTA will love this idea as well to get more numbers.

i wonder what is best way to reach them. is there a ducati offical club in facebook or something

There's a DOC in Austin, but it's not very active. Honestly, Ducati Island just gets you seats. The "Island" portion is open to everyone from General Admission to Suite Passes. I made it a point to walk through it last year. Nothing great. Seeing the bikes was cool. There's a merchandise shop if $120 hoodies is your thing.

ducati - i may start buying some lorenzo stuff however ive been waiting for some stoner stuff and nothing big fail in my opinion. if you are a brand ambassador then you should have some merchandise. Also 2xl is like a real mans medium come on guys this isnt europe.

are you on drugs?

what are you rambling about...nothing to do with New COTA Group Buy...

high on life buddy. the comment above me stated ducati island merchandise shop and 120 hoodies. i built on that

soooo...

looks like i will be making it down to TX with a buddy and his son and a friend of his. we will be throwing our 4 bikes in my 6x12 though. not really feeling like riding 16 hours straight.

question: buddy is a little tight on the budget, any other good camping options besides the $250 COTA camping?

i might jump in on the group ticket / lounge thing, even though i was promised 2 other "special" tickets... what's the deadline again?

let's see!

COTA never did give a deadline, but I went ahead and made it February 15th. This way if it doesn't work out, people have enough time to get other tickets. I think the turn out will be better this year. Paddock Passes are almost sold out. The numbers were pretty sad for being the only U.S. round last year, especially if you've ever been to a race in Europe.

I can't comment on the camping. After 8 years in the Army I've never had the want to go camping again. For $250 he can get a hotel in Round Rock or Georgetown, just north. I live an hour north, so I usually VRBO it downtown. If he's really on a budget and doesn't mind the drive, he can stay at my house.

I'll be there with about 6 other friends. We have tickets in turn 12. Hope to see some of you there though!

A few pointers for the first timers:

- Ducati Austin usually throw a party Thursday night. One Ducati MotoGP rider usually shows up.
- AF1 Racing does something similar Friday night.
- The above get old after about an hour. The only MUST that I recommend is the Handbuilt Motorcycle Show. We go on Saturday after qualifying.
- 6th St is for the kids. I usually go to Rainey St.

CANCELLED

Sorry guys, we didn't get to 30 so I'm calling it. I'm local so let me know if anyone needs anything. See you all at Ducati Island!

Thanks for putting in the effort... it certainly is a shame that it didn't come together as planned.

I'd love to be considered

hey - hubby and i would be interested - coming from Toronto Canada - both avid MotoGP enthusiasts. have visited a number of circuits: Indy (1), Assen (2), Valencia (1), Aragon (1), Brno (1) - would love to include COTA
