Hey guys,
Just picked up an '09 1198. Has some extras like brembo brake and clutch levers a slipper clutch and a few other items. Currently I am going through the bike and inspecting/cleaning it. Was wondering what the known issues were with this model? I do think it has a battery draw somewhere as the battery goes dead after a week of sitting (battery is supposedly new, have yet to confirm.

Thanks!

They can get pretty temperamental in the electrical dept.regulators and sprag clutches also come to mind from friends who have owned them. Sounds like the battery might be faulty but you could put a multimeter between it and earth to see what parasitic current draw is and then calculate how long the battery should keep its charge (about 20% of capacity) Ducati.ms is probably a better board for that model, very nice bike btw.

You are a new Ducati owner so it's common to have problems like this. Check the clutch and regulator. See the engine works well. So if everything looks fine then go to the mechanic shop. It's the best option after all that.
