I agree. I just don't think KTM is big enough to help Ducati grow. I think VW/Audi has been good for Ducati.

They sold this year the most motorcycles of all, bigger than BMW!
Yes, they play the card of being the crazy little Austrian company, but that's image.
With Indian company Bajaj being the biggest shareholder of KTM, they have a strong financial backbone and possess 30% of the motorcycle market.
I think this is a great idea! I miss the RC-8R...
KTM has more finesse with motorcycles than VW.
The good thing of VW is: they brought structure and financial planning to Ducati. But I am sure KTM will do the same. You know, Germans, Austrians, all the same, discipline (gründlichkeit)
