Would be cool if Ducati would do this or just open the Corse catalog to the public like pretty much every other manufacturer does.

This rsv4 is a nice bike, but I would expect a bit higher spec than FKR forks, MS calipers, and production level ecu/harness for 80k euros. The hp4 race was similar money and was considerably higher spec (FGR forks, built motor, near wsbk electronics).

I don’t think opening up the Corse catalog would help much…1st they have F*ck you pricing on all their stuff…as in “f*ck you I don’t want to sell it but at this crazy price maybe”

2nd I knows guys that have access to it and you place the order and a year later you still don’t have your parts.

Can’t remember the guys name, but there is a dude that runs in MotoAmerica on a Superstock spec Fireblade that he runs in both the Superstock and Superbike classes with the Superstock spec.

So he’s holding his own mid-field in the Superbike races on a Superstock Fireblade…every time I see that it impresses the .... out of me.

I bet that’s an awesome track day bike, and especially if you are on the smaller side

I heard the fireblade is one of the best superstock bikes you can get, the results in MA and BSB confirm that. The new 2025 is even better with split throttle bodies, softer frame and better gearing. I'm strongly considering to switch from Ducati to Honda in a year. We'll see how the racing goes next year on the V4.

@Steven31371 being mid pack in the superbike class is impressive. How does he do in the stock 1000 class with that bike?

I can’t remember if it was Uribe or Gillim that did double duty with the same bike in Superstock and super bike, but the place 1st and 2nd on Honda’s in the superstock 1000’s championship.

Ducati has FU prices on everything. I have an exhaust valve in the motor I'm working on that has probably too deep of pitting (from the motor being run lean) on the valve face to be saved. $290 for an exhaust valve. Ludicrous. If the Germans keep forcing Ducati to do this they will eventually lose all their customers. Bought a junk head off of flea bay just to have spare parts. Everyone was sort of wondering why nobody seems to want to blueprint these, there's the reason. Rings, bearings, gaskets, seals etc to do a basic overhaul exceeds $2000. Then if you need anything else... If one were to do these as a job you'd have to quote at least $10K to blueprint if everything's useable. Doing one of these right is 40-50 hrs if you already have all the fixturing built.
