Hey Caliduc those pipes are going to look great.
just had 1st service on 1199 tri at ducati manchester i have full race termi the evo map was lumpy they have put the termi end can map back on it runs better so whats going on when do we get what we paid for
Arent those rapidbike modules a fortune though? Meh.
Forget Ducati's up maps and get the Rapidbike on there, the original up map for the Termi system is a joke. Mine went from 174whp to 187whp when mapped on the Rapidbike. Standard headers still make better torque though.
You're pleased with it then? Is the fuelling sorted below 5K and does it ride better at lower speeds/rpm? Did you fit it yourself or did you have Rich do it? Which of the two rapidbikes models did you go for?

Great result.I went for the Race unit and Rich mapped it on their dyno. It is better below 5k but it is a race spec engine and I believe it will never be like an inline 4 running those massive pistons. Rich did say though that he mapped another Pani recently that is very smooth below 5k, i'm not that bothered as i'd rather take the power up top. You can always ride around the low speed roughness and mine was never that bad anyway.
What the Rapidbike really achieved was to fill out the torque curve and maximise the bikes potential, as I said 174whp before, 187whp after, that should tell you everything you need to know about the up map....
I just got off the phone with a buddy of mine that works for ducati and has a full termi system on his 1199. I asked him about the termi slips vs the full system. Here is what i was told. Ducati will be releasing a new map for the termi full system which will INCREASE the HP numbers. The name of the map is going to be called upmap 2 or stage 2 and all ducati dealers will have it and upload it for you if you have a full system. The map is not made for just slip ons. Then i asked him about the graphs with the full system and why the decrease in power. I was told that 2 things need to be turned off when doing a dyno. 1 the traction control and 2 the O2 sensor. Both of these drastically restrict the output on the dyno numbers. I dont know how true this is but he has no reason to lie to me. Now i am not really concerned with total numbers what i am concerned with with everything being equal is an increase over stock no matter what the numbers are if the numbers are low because of traction thats ok as long as they go UP when i add the system. The 3rd thing i was told is for a few bucks (ducati bucks so i assume a couple of hundred) they will ceramic coat the exhaust for you. not only does this reduce the heat but i was told that it keeps the pipe from expanding from the heat and change the shape of the cat giving a small boost over a non coated pipe. Finally i asked about the air filters. The 1199 already has a free flow air filter no need for a new one. Dont kill the messenger here just relaying what i was told
