Hello!

New to the forums, and recently new to San Francisco. I had begun buying track-type kit for my Hyperstrada (rearset, andreani group cartridge, brembo RCS17), and realized that I was going to sink a lot of money when I could just spend a lot more money and buy a 1299 Panigale S. Come to think of it, there was no clear logic there.

Anyway, long story short I love the bike. I've just gotten about 600 miles on it and it really is the best thing since sliced bread. I'd pretty thoroughly ridden the 848 EVO SE, and was a bit concerned about the flick ability of the Pani (coming from a Hyper)-- at least until I rode it.

Like I said I'm new to San Francisco/NorCal as well. If anyone here is interested in carpooling to one of the many nearby tracks this year or going on ego-free spirited rides in the bay area, please let me know! Or if you know a friend! I'm especially interested in finding some track buddies here that I can learn from/with and make the experience a bit more fun.

Cheers!

Welcome!

I live in SF but keep my bike and the truck I tow her with at my parent's in the East Bay. I do 20-25 days a year and would be happy to give you a ride!

Welcome... There are quite a few Bay Area 1199/1299 riders on the forum.. I'm up in the North Bay and occasionally get enough time away from my 2 year old daughter to get up to Thunderhill.

I commute to work every day on my 1299S, so I will keep an eye out for you.

Cheers.
