I just installed a set of CNC rearsets on a buddies 1299 (Gp shift) I was pleasantly impressed. Top notch quality.

Thanks for the info. I think I'll go with the CNC's instead of the DP's then. Looks like a lot more adjustability. I like to run the GP pattern on all my bikes.
I also noticed you were able to spec the pivoting shifter and brake toe pegs. Nice touch.

Oh, and both the toe peg and foot peg pivot. However, the foot pegs were sooo grippy I had to put in the supplied pin to make them solid, as they would pivot when I was attempting to slide my foot/toe up on corner entry at the track. Probably wouldn't matter much for the street. It's nice they provide the pins and give you the option to go either way.

MotoX183 did you get yours from Bellisimoto?

Would love to get some feedback on the CNC Racing rearsets, would you say they are in the same class as Attacks? I owned a set of Gilles FXR at some point and was left very disappointed with the quality.

I started with the DP. For $1300.00, DP can go F*&K themselves. Bought a set of the CNC Pramac's. Great Rear sets. Very adjustable. Then got a set of the Lightech R. CNC's have more adjustability. I ended up leaving the Lightech on for two reasons. One, they are a bit more robust and less flexible where they mount to the sub frame. Two, like the DP, I was not a fan of the additional linkage and hardware involved on the shift side. Aside from that, both were excellent. If Attack made rear sets for the 1299, they would be on my bike. Track bike, only, yep something less expensive like Vortex for sure.

So your biggest problems with the DP and CNC are the extra linkage to go between standard and GP shift? Do I have that right?
Any other complaints about those two?
Just trying to learn everything about these before I invest the money. I've narrowed my choices to the DP and CNC with the CNC in the lead.

Not exclusively. I like to keep it as simple as possible which is why i was always an Attack fan. I like the CNCs. The only reason i went with the Lightech is they are a bit more stout and yes they are void of all the little screws and linkage pieces. Thats more complexity, more weight and more play in the system. I would not compare the CNC with the DP. CNC have more adjustability, precision bearings and are more accessible from a modular perspective. The DP are nicely made from a materials and machining perspective but thats where it ends. Its a magic show to take them apart once they are on the bike. They come with plain bronze bearings with a teflon coating. When the coating goes, its a sloppy system which it is already out of the box. The adjustability is slim and the shift lever adjustability in GP mode blows and the link again is a plain bearing surface. For me these rear sets were the sloppiest of all the rear sets I tested and the most expensive. PASS.The Corse rear sets are quite a bit different but don't ask how much they cost. If its between CNC and DP, CNC all the way.

Thanks endodoc. Good to hear the ins and outs as to why one is preferred over the other. The adjustability of the CNC is what caught my attention along with the all important GP shift capability. Being on the shorter side with small feet the CNC's look like I'll be able to tailor them well.

I have the Ducati Corse ones and they work great for me. Well made and fit with the reverse shifter. I appreciate they're a little more expensive than some others out there.

These AEM solo's look pretty nice. They say they have 5 positions but other than moving in an arch up and down I can't see how they move forward and back? If anyone should be running these would you please explain? Also, please comment on their functionality... Thanks...

I just ordered a set of CNC Racing RPS rearsets and am really looking forward to em. Unfortunately I won't be able to put them on and test them for a few more weeks but I'm sure they'll be awesome, I haven't really heard anything negative about them. It was a toss up though between CNC Racing and Woodcraft, I had Woodcraft on my old bike and they're hard to beat for the price. But I'm pretty sure the CNC Racing rearsets have a bit more adjustability. I'm also 5'8 with about a 30" inseam just for reference. Plan on putting them on and doing a trackday at the end of October with them.

You won't be disappointed. Excellent quality and fit, whether an 1199 or 1299, as compatible for both. No gripes here.

The LighTechs are the only ones that I've come across that have the adjustability that I needed (up and forward).

Can your rearsets go higher than currently shown in the pics?

No. I'll take a picture from the rear so you can see the difference over stock when I get a chance. I only have the brake side installed.
