hello, I just took delivery of a 2018 959 panigale corse. its second bike to a 2016 Aprilia rsv4 rf. I am unclear and manual is vague about the low, medium and high power output. the 3 modes wet, race and sport is clear, but where and how is power output adjusted. sport in the manual states ENGINE 145HP LOW in the DTC, RIDING MODE, USE, DEFAULT chart on page 65 of the manual

The low, medium, and high relates primarily to throttle response. The easiest was to describe is low is a limited power output with the most progressive throttle response, medium is full power with a more aggressive throttle response, and high is full power with the most aggressive throttle response.

Standard settings are Wet: Low
Sport: Medium
Race: High
The other confusing setting is EBC as it works opposite of the other aids. For example ABS off is off then 1-3 are more intrusive as you go up as with DTC. With EBC off is most engine braking, 1 is a little less, 2 is less engine braking than 1, and 3 is the most free wheeling of the modes hence the least jerky of the bunch at small throttle inputs.

These bikes offer a lot of adjustment electronically so you can create any mode you wish based on your riding style.

For me that meant default modes with the exception of running EBC at 3 in race and sport and at 2 in wet.
