What's up everyone?
Just realized that I should start posting up about myself and such seeing as I've been a member for a while here. Here's my story:
Originally rode Kawasaki Ninjas (2001 ZX-6R and 2005 ZX10-R), test rode an 1198s a few years ago and loved the feel and look of that bike. Although at the time, I just did not find it exciting enough to let my heavily modified ZX-10R go.
Fast forward to the Autumn of 2012 and I ran into an issue where I finally let my bike go to a shop for a 24000km valve adjustment (I did all my own wrenching up until this point, but didn't have the shop in place to do my own valve work in). The shop f***ed the Ninja up and the motor was blown on their watch (litigation in progress).
I went nearly a whole season without a bike when I finally decided to hit the Ducati dealership and get myself on the sweet 1198s. When I got there, I saw the Panigale, and well, needless to say... I bought myself a base Panigale. It is such a nice bike to ride, and has a great aount of power. I spent the first two (2) months riding it and comparing it to my ZX-10R, but I am happy with the purchase.
Truth be told, although I know I picked the right bike... I think the 1198s is still a much sexier looking ride. Something about that trelis frame always catches my eye!
Sorry about the length, but I look forward to picking up information on my new Panigale and get to a point where I know her inside-out like I did my Ninjas. I have already started to figure out what accessories I want to get, but dang they are so expensive compared to my Japanese parts
