Gents, This is my install and review of the NRC fender eliminator. I installed it today.

First, Pro's and Con's :

Pros:
Most important, signals can be seen in daylight
Very unique looking
Clean tail install
LED's are amazing looking

Cons:
Zero instructions
Tape used to secure LED bar cheap, should be extreme duty 3M tape
Can't use passenger pegs
Splicing and cutting involved

If anyone is interested in the install procedure just message me. I can type it all out again, I already did it once and like a total retard closed the screen thinking I was closing a preview pic, and lost it all. If yall want, I will type it again. There were only two small parts that might give a hiccup on the install. But the good news is, you DONT have to remove the tail to install it. Unless you are removing the Competition Werkes unit.

Here are the pics I took of the install and result. I have some in the sunlight but took them in landscape and when I upload them, they are sideways. I can take more tomorrow. The first and second pics are when I was doing the mock-up on the tail. I actually reassembled the tail before I finished the install, so you can do the same without removing the tail.

I didn't mount it for the pictures. Its just a plate holder that mounts to the passenger peg holes, with the factory bolts.

Thanks for the update and review. It's too late for me as I already have the CW one, but maybe in ill swap mine out in the future.

Cheers.

Hey thanks for the pics, they look great. Can you post a pic of where the license plate might be? Also can you make a how-to guide and post it once so you don't have to write it each time.

Add it to the collection.

Thanks for sharing, I do like the look!

Here is the response I got when asking for installation instructions:

"We are actually working on the installation instructions as we speak and I hope to have them available within the next week or so. The installation is very simple. After removing the stock plastic housing, you are mounting the turn signal bracket up underneath with 1 bolt and tab and wiring 3 LEDs (2 signals, 1 running light).
The license plate bracket uses the 2 stock bolts from underneath and tucks it up back behind your header pipes. I am trying to get the instructions up on our website by the end of the week."

Yeah, the guy I went back and forth with over emails was a nice guy. I bought the unit (I paid for it, not for T&E) and after I set it up, I sent him some pics. He asked me what I thought and I told him the same stuff I mentioned here. He acknowledged it all, and owned it. He also told me some of the things he is going to tweak to make it a better kit. And it sounds like it will be. I still really like it.

Maybe tomorrow after work I will post some install tips. Thru the entire kit there was only one part that was kinda tricky to get in place, the rest was straightforward.

NOLA

I like the look of this kit a lot, but is there any way to keep the passenger pegs?

I suggested that. To make a plate bracket that was extended a bit and mounted above the pegs, or used extended bolts. He said they had thought of that and were working on it.

Thanks for that news. Given the great price point, and good visibility, I think the only thing holding me back from purchasing this kit is the passenger peg issue. I guess I have all winter for them to hopefully update the kit...

So is it brighter than the Comp Workes integrated tail light?

Completely different. With this kit you can see it in the daytime. The CW unit even if you are looking straight at it, it cant be seen. Those geniuses pointed the LED's on their's straight down inside the vent tubes, LED's are directional and you cant see them. The NRC unit has the LED's illuminating a frosted strip and it gets really bright.

Can you please post a photo with the license plate? I would like to see where it sits. Thanks!

Thats at night with no flash from cam. The LED white light illuminator is very bright. Almost not possible for cops to say you dont have an illuminated plate, and thats its not visible from 50ft.

I can take some daytime ones if you want also.

Could you take a daytime side photo? I'm just curious to see where the license plate is located. Thanks in advance!

Pardon the dust. I rode last night and came back late :)

And I KNOW the first pic is sideways, I hate the damm iPhone for that auto rotating crap. Right click, save the pic, open in your viewer and rotate direction. Easier than me taking the Italian thigh heater back out for Glamour Shots 2.0.

I REALLY like this option vs the integrated one.... thanks for sharing, I think I am going with this option.

Just wanted to update on this topic. I talked to them today and they said they are in the process of adding washers to the kit that will allow for passenger peg use, and they should have them by next week. I told them as soon as it's inlcuded I'm buying one.

Really great looking kit. NOLA - If you are bored at some point... a video of the signals would be great :)
