I've heard internet rumors of a new Up-Map from Termignoni then my dealer mentioned the same rumor a week ago when my 1199 was receiving it's first maintenance service. Has anyone heard anything to confirm or deny it is in development or status of it's arrival to dealers?

Am I correct to call it an Up-Map?

PS. I have the full Termi system.

Yes there is an update for STD bike and one for Termi Slip ons and also the full system meant to improve mid range on STD and extra power on full system also improves quickshift in lower gears and overall rideability

Got mine done yesterday (full system) rode before and after and to be honest didnt notice any real difference

I'm sorry, can you just clarify what you are saying? There ARE updated maps currently available for all 1199's regardless of exhaust? Last time I was at my dealer (a few weeks ago) they told me there was no sign of any software updates from Ducati. They checked their systems and saw nothing.

Be interesting to know the difference these maps make...

Are these upmaps considered part of the warranty service on this bike???

its not being classed as a recall just an update at service but it takes about 10mins so it depends if your dealer will charge you to do it seperately -they shouldnt really

it probably depends on when your bike was built, if an early bike they've probably got updates available that are installed standard on later production bikes.

i just talked to my dealer here in St Louis. He says as of 10/24, the only map update is for the Tricolore.

they say the Ducati system has been down since then as they are upgrading to a whole new system and updates are not available until next week. So....

Uk/Eu and US download was available from 10am UK time yesterday
DDS diagnostic system has not been down

I think dealers were told not to try the new communication system until the 2nd, and he is waiting till then (tomorrow).

That system is more the dealer operating system (orders/warranty claims) nothing to do with the diagnostic one and it was available for mine yesterday without a problem

I received an e-mail from my dealer tonight!

E-mail from dealer at 8:00PM this evening:

A while ago you had asked about an update for the ECU in the 1199. This has just been released (about 30 minutes ago) for the US market.

We will get the download to our system tonight.

From Ducati's bulletin "The software download encompasses (for both OEM/ DP) torque, power, drivability, and shifting updates."

I called my dealership. They said they got an email/bulletin about the updates, but it was almost immediately retracted by Ducati and they were told to wait for an official communication for the release. They said they'd check again later and see if it came through yet. I hope it comes through before I put my bike away for the winter!!!
