I am coming from owning a 2010 R1. New to ducati, i have always been eyeing them. picked one up last weekend. 2014 899 with 12k miles. unknown maintenance history.

doing a flush of all the fluids to get a baseline. looking over the service manual it calls for taking off the oil pan and cleaning the mesh screen every other oil change, anything special about that?

spark plugs / air filter look pretty straight forward. anyone check / adjust their own valves? where can i get the special tool to rotate the engine? where exactly do you rotate the engine from? service manual didnt go into too much details on those items.

Spark plugs are not really straight forward... it's a pain in the butt. But it's doable of course!

Welcome to the community!
I've been here for quite some time now, if only it is safe to bring along my dog for a ride by using a pet carrier.
