Just wanted to throw a quick intro. Hello fellow riders! Been riding Japanese bikes for the better part of 20 years and after much prodding from a good friend who had an 1199 I finally made the switch to Ducati.
First fray into Ducati was a 2014 899 which I bought for a steal from my boss at work. Rode that for 2500 miles and missed the power of liter class inline four engines. My last bike before the 899 was a 2008 Yamaha R1 which I sold with 24,000 miles on it. Hind sight, I really miss that bike...
Found a 2012 1199 with 2300 miles and got a great deal on it so I swapped out of the 899 into an 1199. Ridden my friend's for a short time and really liked the feel and handling of it. Forgot how much of a PITA it was to ride around town and at low rpms... and the heat...
Not to let this drag on, I went for a Brentuning flash and the bike is an absolute dream to ride now. Put a Comfort Seat on it and I can ride it all day! Thanks for reading.
