Just want to say hi to everyone and thank Duc for welcoming me here. I've owned all kinds of motorcycles and been riding for 50+ years. My latest ride is a hayabusa. I have been involved in landspeed racing for 10 years piloting a turbocharged busa. Time to stop racing and the only bike i can think of that i would want is a Ducati 1199. I am looking for a good deal on a used low milage 2012 or later. If i dont find that i will buy a new one.
My busa has BST's with ceramic bearings in them. Galfer rotors front and rear. Penske rear shock, front forks by race tech. Lots of motor and transmission work. The bike is a blast to ride. Pretty much the only thing original is the frame and engine cases.
Really looking forward to becoming a Ducati owner.

Welcome...What part of Texas??? You may find the 1199 slow in comparison to your recent ride...:)

I live in Portland just outside Corpus. The busa is extremely fast, 259.85 in the Maxton mile but thats a straight line. The Ducati is in a class all by itself as far as quality, handling, style and definately (can i say ) the cool factor.

Cool.... I was hoping closer to Dallas.... Yes the 1199 is certainly in a class of its own..

Theres a dealer in Austin who i am going to go visit this week. If i dont take the wife, i might be able to bring one home and surprise her with a early mothers day gift! Lol

I like your twisted logic...:D

It has gotten me in trouble before, and playing dumb doesnt work anymore either. As the old addage goes, better to ask for forgiveness than permission.
