Who put that tank protector on way up there... ?

wow

sound stupid but dealer did

he explain to me after installing so many they had issues with things like.

1/peeling on the bent side.
2/also your jacket sits high up where i need the most cover
3/your soft balls sits on the bottom so there should be no damage there

to me after him explaining it i was like fair enough

I have the rear Rizoma as well, why didn't you get it?

4 things came to mind

1/ price $100 more could go to another part specially when there are so much more
2/ i mite be replacing my hub and some rear hubs dont fit the rizoma's
3/ this mite sound stupid but spinning rotation weight will cause uneven in handling if any
4/ heaps easy to take off for those rear stands

but i do like rizoma myself just couldnt justify pros and cons for $100

do you think i should of gone for the rear rizoma trauma? guess i can always purchase it and sells these speedmoto

Makes sense, mine is trying to separate at the curve of the tank.

Congrats on the purchase, parts look great. I am currently waiting on my white Panigale to arrive from Sydney to New Zealand (left 10-3-13), so hopefully by the end of the month should be riding it. I went white firstly it really appealed to me, still love the red, but most of all my wife said she thought it would stand out, she fell in love with it in white and gave the go ahead, I didnt want to disappoint her!!!! We could only see a demo in red in Christchurch and the only other 2 Panigales are Tri-colours, so daring to be different, the bikes look far better than any picture, so I am guessing the white will also be the same, I went base as the black forks, on white back ground will suit all the carbon bits I have bought for it, also have a Werkes tail tidy, clean, simple lines. Getting excited now and proud to be part of the 1199 crew.

Unless you are riding naked I do not understand point 3. My soft ( but enormous!) balls are usually covered by my Scott Leathers. The paint is soft enough that anything rubbing agin the tank will scratch it. :)

You are correct Mark, agree with that point, I have to get around to putting on some clear 3m there.

Although I am not sliding forward now that I have put a new seat cover on.

I just filled in the ducati customer survey on the owners website and soft paint was a complaint I made in the survey. Gave the bike lots of ten grades though.

I would highly recommend the rear rizoma hub. It is very easy to put on/take off. It is a quality piece of equipment and is an ideal rear hub protector.

It's not so easy if you lose the tool that comes with it

Yes, DP rear stand ;) The Rizoma rear hub has to be removed to mount the bike via a rear stand. However, it is very easy to remove the hub so no biggie.

I had a different post machined for my stand - it's 30mm and is available for the bull. I think our Riz hole is the same as a 1098's oem one.

new update

Rizoma tail

at first i thought i was gonna make a mistake and make it look ugly compare to the DP or other brands but in terms of road legal tail there wasnt much.
after installing it with a great mechanic to clean up the wires, its SOOO good!.

its so neat and tidy, yes the indicators are wide viewing from the back but thats what makes it road legal (30cm). only change i will do is put a Red reflector between where the number plates and led light, so cops cant say .....

enjoy the pictures close, far, back, side on.

Design - 9 (wish you can hide the wires alot more even tho i heatshrink them, another note FULLY adjustable)
Price - 8 (not cheapest but for $200 great)
looks - 9 (leds lights are bright)
install - 7 (not easy as people think 1hour)
quality - 10 (alot of billet and strong)
