Something tells me that this is just one of the red flags why the bike is suffering a little in SBK. Engineers thought this might actually do something.
I think it's interesting. Gigi must believe that they can still work the twin a bit to bring parity to the series. I'm for any improved exhaust that makes removing th belly pan easier.
Okay, maybe a tad off of the exhaust thread..........but what is going on with the rear suspension too? Clearly different that what we mere mortals are provided with
Essentially, yes. There's not room on our bikes to flip around the shock that we're provided, I looked after seeing this pic. I think that they do this to, one, provide more crash protection to the "business" end of the shock, and two, to keep the reservoir from being cooked by the rear header/mid-pipe. If you look at the regular bikes the reservoir is sitting within about 3 inches of the pipe. Not good.
