I really like how this bike sound, it's amazing, love it, but there is a ticking / clicking sound which drives me crazy
It's my first Ducati bike and I cannot really understand if this noise is something normal for those bikes or something is loose
Can someone please help me understand if this bike sound alright ?

Here is a video:

I couldn't here that with the speakers.
I am at work so i didn't crank them up, they already think i am crazy here so...........

I can hear what you mean. Maybe the bike needs a valve adjustment? Or change the oil?

At the annual required service, the dealer used beemer motorad oil. It sucked.

The bike runs quieter, cooler and shifts better with Motul 300 in it.

I want to understand, I'm paranoid about this rattling sound or that's how that Ducati should actually sound

99% of the time i ride my bike with earplugs. Earplugs mask the higher pitched sounds. The one time i ride without the earplugs i am like "what the f.ck is that sound??? Is that normal???"

With motorcycles there are always some various background noises.

My first time owning a 4 stroke race bike i thought it was about to detonate every time i started her up

as a lifelong twin-rider / racer, sitting on an i4 and revving above 15k rpm scares the .... out of me. i always think i will get a piston through the chest any minute....

Let me reword my statement, dirtbike 4 stroke.

Same issue here. The ticking noise is kind of bothering. I initially thought it was caused by wrong engine oil(viscosity too thin). At this point the 959 has around 11,000 miles, so i took it to an official dealer to do the desmo service. Mechanic two valves were slightly out of spec, but nothing wrong with the engine. The tickling noise is still there Lol. I can only hear it at low rpm/idling tho. Therefore if a desmo service ain't gonna fix this noice, aint nothing else to it. Could be just the engine sound honestly... My SFV4 makes all the clacks too

I had bad MAP sensor that had no engine light or error on dash but created additional engine noise. Poor fueling probably leading to wonky crank rotation and cam chain slapping.
