I check this board daily. I'm a scavenger, a buzzard of sorts. Looking for deals and dreaming of finally building a Ducati that I'm impersonable with. I have this idea that I'm going to build a bike that I can leave outside the bar, outside in the rain, outside in the fog. A dog of sorts.
Twenty plus years ago I rode my 998 into Golden Gate Park in the rain, crying in my helmet. I left one of the best times of my life behind that night.
I've died twice, at Thunder Hill and Sears Point, both on Suzukis. However, I've wadded Ducatis into unrecognizable garbage and walked away.
There's something here. Formulaic if you please. We are blessed to be privileged enough to ride these machines, first, second or third hand as they may come, but nonetheless with an unusually different level of discovery than most of the passengers of modern day technology.
