My wife just called me that I received a letter from Ducati today advising me that my bike is due for a recall....Only had the bike just over a month.

She read it read something like: swing Arm spindle something or other has to be properly torqued so as not to interfere with the riders footpegs and something about a break reservoir da da da!!

Anyone had the same?

Feel fortunate - mine has been at the dealer for over two weeks with (suspected) ECU issues that they cannot resolve. They've run out of options and it's to the point where Ducati NA will need to get involved, and the process could be quite lengthy.

Anyway, your recall letter is the same as everyone elses, and you'll be back on the road shortly. :)

How long have you had it?

If it's not that long, then it's not fit for purpose! Reject It and Demand a replacement

I received the unit in June, but since I was on vacation for most of summer, I only have 3000kms on the odometer. The issue first came up around the 1000-1500kms mark, and cleared for a bit, but is now ongoing. Long story short, the bike is dangerous to ride, because, without warning, the ride-by-wire will cut out. The engine is still spinning, just no throttle response and immediate loss of power.

Almost got run over on a few occasions because of this. :(

Reject it and demand another! Thats what I would do and if you were to seek legal advice I am certain they would say something similar.

I feel for you...good luck with it.

Get it done man. Someone posted that their swing arm bolt backed out and almost wrecked the bike.... First year production bike, so gonna see this type of stuff fellas...

Watch it end up being something as simple as replacing the wheel speed sensor. One of them fouled up and the bike thinks you keep loosing traction...

^ Who knows - at this point, your guess is as good as anyone's. The guys at the dealership have been going over this bike repeatedly, and they still can't find the source of the problem.

I called DNA today and filed a complaint. I was told that the Canadian rep would be reached, and that this would be the first step towards resolution. If the issue gets out of hand, I will make a thread to advise others, but for now, I'll give DNA a chance to make things right.

OP - sorry for hijacking half your thread!

Settle down it is no big deal, they will just check the mods have been done and / or are correct etc. it is a precautionary thing.
