Oil leak from PCV?

Ok, so my 2018 Pani V4 leaks oil. The backside of the sump (facing the exhaust) is wet and drips down a few drops everyday. I removed the sump cover, put fresh sealant and still the issue continues. Upon further investigation, I saw that the oil is dripping down from somewhere higher and not the sump joint (though it flows down the joint making it appear so) I've heard that a faulty PCV breather valve rubber seal that vents air into the airbox can cause excess oil to be pushed into the airbox, which then spews out and flows down. Has anyone else faced a similar issue ? If so how did you solve it? Thank you.

You could pull the air filter out and use an inspection camera to look inside of the airbox for any signs of oil. That would be much less of a task than taking the top of the airbox off.

I haven't read anything about a faulty PCV breather on the Panigale V4. Where did that info come from? Do you have any pics or source you can share?

I havent studied the inside of the airbox on this model. Someone on a FB Pani group had a similar problem and he says, the dealer solved it by openig the clutch and replacing a 'seal' that was pinching the vent hose. Attached screenshot.

I don’t think your issue is the same, at least based on the information provided. The FB post spoke to oil from the breather line, which may be a bit of a misnomer. I think they wrote about the drain line from the air box which has the tapered oval boot at the end which protrudes from the lower fairing. I think the design of that boot is that when under vacuum it’s closed, but when not at vacuum it will open to allow oil or whatever to drain out of the air box. I thought you had oil on the exterior of the engine, they had oil from that hose.

By the oval boot do you mean the one at the front end, before the oil cooler which goes through the fairing halves?

The oil seems to have wet the backside of the sump cover only while coming from somewhere above. Valve cover is oil tight so not that. Here's a pic that I took before I resealed the sump with RTV. Note that it's only on the backside

Update:
So I reduced the oil level to between the upper and lower line in the engine oil sight glass (was at the top line earlier) and cleaned every last trace of oil that had leaked out from the airbox and the problem seems to have stopped for now. Looks like the V4 Panigale is rather sensitive to even a tad excess oil and spits it out. Hope the issue stays solved.

Greetings all,

I for sure had the same issue with pooling oil leak, looks like it stemmed from the weep hole in the bottom of the V, probably the classic water pump issue. After checking the sight glass, it was overfilled! (by the dealer as the bike is new to me) I reduced to the min line, cleaned it, hopefully, this fixes the issue.
